There is no timetable for grief. Even losses that occurred decades ago can still bring pain and sorrow. Whether your loss occurred last week or 40 years ago, you have a home here.
Have you lost a loved one? Do you wrestle with the meaning of grief? Are you struggling to move forward without your loved one? Is God nudging you to explore new ways to cope with your grief? Are you open to sharing your journey of healing with Christian friends?
This may be the group for you.
Who Are We, and What do We Do?
Our Lord assures us that those who mourn are blessed and that they shall be comforted.
Each year, many families of our community face the loss of loved ones. Our Catholic tradition provides funeral support, and Seasons of Hope carries that caring spirit into the difficult period that follows when grief can overwhelm.
With the support of the faith community, Seasons of Hope gives voice to our unique journeys of grief, finding healing and spiritual growth through:
Encountering the Lord through Sacred Scripture (please bring your Bible)
Listening to uplifting and healing music during prayer and reflection activities
Journaling
Group discussion
Social time and faith sharing
What Beloit and Clinton Community Members Have Said
“It’s A Safe place to say the things that weigh heavy on my mind.”
“Something about this group is magical . . . special.”
“Everybody accepts everybody.”
“I was able to share my grief and benefit from others’ insights.”
What if I Lost a Loved One Years Ago?
Grief has no timetable. Losses even decades ago can bring pain and sorrow. When you’re ready, you have a home here.
Can I attend if I’m Not Catholic?
Absolutely! While our group is anchored in the Person of Christ and the legacy of His Church, we welcome all who are open to finding healing and support.
What is the Cost?
There is no cost to those who participate, though free will donations offset the cost of materials.
